Your personal invite to come back to Classical

Our babies are Seniors?!

There was so much I wanted to say in the letter I sent you recently that I thought it would be easier to invite you to this private page I set up just for previous clients. (You won't find this page in our website menu. You have to access it with the web address I gave you, so if you want to easily refer back to it, take a moment and book mark this page.)  We'd love to work with you for your child's senior portraits. Please read on to find out more! Thanks for taking the time to research senior portraits with us.

Those two images together are tough, aren't they?!

Many years ago you trusted us with portraits of your child. I bet you even have Classical Photography portraits still on display in your home and that they are probably some of your most treasured possessions. Now...deep breath....that child is about to be a SENIOR. For years, I have watched senior parents come through the studio and many times cried with them as they watch their session slide show or pick up their finished work. For the first time ever, I'm on the OTHER side as Audrey is in the Class of 2019. And, like you, I'm wondering how the heck that happened SO FAST?!

Having worked with senior parents for years, I know how this year is going to go... and how many LASTS we're about to experience. Remember how well you documented the FIRSTS.... that FIRST step, the FIRST word, the FIRST day of school? Well, all that will be replaced with the LAST first day, the LAST game, the LAST prom. Deadlines, tests, homecoming, college visits, senior nights and more....the next 11 months will be FULL of them and then, just like that ..we're on to the next chapter. I could start crying right now if I really thought about it!! Kash says there won't be enough tissue in Carrollton for me to get through Audrey’s senior year; we'll see.

All this brings me to my point of this ramble. …. senior portraits with Classical. You know those childhood portraits I referred to earlier? Senior portraits are just as special. In many cases this is the first time since they started school that you are planning a session that is just for them. Senior portraits are about celebrating this life stage and documenting how they are RIGHT NOW, on the brink of all life has to offer.

Did you know many schools require you to have the formal image made ONLY at school for inclusion in the yearbook?

Many of you are first time senior parents and may not realize all the ins and outs of senior portraits. For example, did you know many schools require you to have the formal image made ONLY at school for inclusion in the yearbook? But did you know you don't have to buy those? (unless you love them and want to) And do not stress over your “assigned” time by the school photographer if it is not convenient for you. There will be make up days.

Even though you're just now getting used to the idea you have a senior in the house, the time for senior portraits is this summer. I know it may seem early but trust me this is one thing you don't want to put off. We've already got 60+ Class of 2019 seniors on our schedule so like I said, June and July may seem early to get senior portraits taken, but really it is not. Once school starts back for your senior, life gets crazy. Is your son or daughter involved in fall activities or sports? Their schedule will be pretty hectic once school starts back; it's probably busy this summer, but at least you don't have school in the mix as well. Putting senior portraits off just causes you more stress later, and I don’t know about you but I've got enough stress in my life!

If you haven't been to see us in a while, let me catch you up. Our studio, yes we still have a STUDIO, is located on Hay's Mill Road in Carrollton. We moved here five years ago. We have a 3,000 square foot space behind our home dedicated to photography. A rarity these days, but we still have a camera room, just like we've always had. This lets you get a perfect senior formal as well as images you just can't take outside. Of course we also have plenty of outside options; many that we have built or brought in for portraits such as an old barn, our old truck, the 1950's tractor, a rope swing, whitewashed upright piano, field, lake, 15 foot American flag, two custom photo booths plus plenty of shady spots.

Still want more? Kash loves to go on location; let him know what you're thinking and he can create a senior session of epic proportions.  Our Infinite session and To Infinity and Beyond session let you create a completely custom session with multiple outfits and locations.

While you're here at our website, please take a look around. Our Class of 2019 gallery features images made on site in just the past few months. There is also complete information about all of our senior sessions... with session descriptions and tons of samples. But you know the best resource to get all your questions answered? Me ! :) That's right.. I would love to sit down with you, show you around the studio, catch up, and answer any questions you have about sessions, products, packages, and more.

I will let you in on another secret... we're discounting two of our most popular session fees (The 90 and The Drive Thru )  to HALF price in June for all our seniors.. But for YOU .. and only those who have gotten a letter AND are a previous children's client... your senior session fee for either of those two sessions are FREE for June or half price for July!

As we always have, we have a session fee and from all the poses Kash creates you order what you'd like. We still present proofs you can refer to to make your order and 90% of our clients leave with PRINTS, not files. But we know some of you may like to print and design your own order, and for those we do offer files.  Whatever finished product route you go, senior portraits represent such an important stage in your child's life that they deserve the attention of a professional and not just the school photographer who takes five minutes herding your child through the process or your friend-of-a-friend from the gym with a really nice camera.  I promise senior portraits will be your next treasure and Classical would love to be your choice. Senior portraits are what we specialize in now.

You valued our work years ago. I guarantee you will love our senior work as well. If you're ready to schedule, feel free to call (770.832.9090) and book a time convenient for you and your senior. We're in the office Tuesday through Friday. If you have more questions, take 20 minutes and sit down with me first. I can give you ideas and things to consider, show you what all we have to offer and answer any questions you may have..from there if you decide to schedule, great, if not that's fine too!

Regardless... hold on for the ride we're both about to embark on. If you've stayed with me until now and are still reading, we would love to see you back and hope this finds you well. Senior year is different for everyone and full of so many unique experiences, but one thing that is the same for all of us is the speed at which it FLIES BY!

Hope to see you again soon -

Sherry

P.S. Do you need a new head shot? I know a great photographer  ;-)
